NINJATRADER → OANDA
What is a NinjaTrader to OANDA trade copier?
A NinjaTrader to OANDA trade copier uses trades on a connected NinjaTrader source account to generate orders on an OANDA receiver. Copygram links those accounts in a room and applies the receiver’s symbol, sizing and trade-management settings.
NinjaTrader is your source
Choose the account you trade. Its account activity supplies the trades for your copying room.
Copygram connects the workflow
The room links one source to your selected receivers and applies each account’s copying rules.
OANDA is your receiver
Use your OANDA account for the destination orders. The source and receiver remain separate accounts.
BUILT FOR YOUR WORKFLOW

QUICK START
How to copy NinjaTrader trades to OANDA
Connect both accounts, create a room and configure your OANDA receiver in five steps.
In Copygram, add a trading account and select NinjaTrader. Enter your NinjaTrader username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. The documented connection uses the official Tradovate API. Select the account you want to copy from.

Choose OANDA and enter your OANDA personal access token in the API Key field. Select Live or Practice under Account Type, then use Account Selection to choose the receiving account.
Select NinjaTrader as the room’s source and add OANDA as a receiver. Give the accounts clear names. A room connects one source to one or more receivers, with independent settings for each account.

Map the exact futures contract to the OANDA instrument. Set receiver sizing, symbol exceptions, filters, schedules, stops and targets. Choose Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders behavior for your workflow.
Activate the room to start copying. Follow your NinjaTrader source activity, Copygram signal log and OANDA orders. Manage your demo and live accounts from the same workflow, with a clear view of instruments, units and trade updates.

FUTURES TO FOREX COPYING
Map the futures contract to your OANDA instrument
An illustrative mapping is Euro FX futures to EUR_USD. Use the exact NinjaTrader contract identifier and expiry, then select EUR_USD on the OANDA receiver.
Source contract
Use the full Euro FX futures identifier, including expiry, as reported by your NinjaTrader connection.
Destination instrument
Map to the exact OANDA symbol: EUR_USD in this example. Match the quote direction to your intended exposure.
Receiver configuration
Set OANDA quantity independently. Configure stops and targets using the destination instrument’s prices.

Symbol mapping selects the instrument; money management defines its quantity. Futures and forex use distinct quotes, so keep direction, sizing and destination price levels explicit. Update the source mapping when you move to a new futures expiry.
INDEPENDENT RECEIVER SIZING
Set OANDA quantity separately from NinjaTrader contracts
Choose your intended OANDA order size in the receiver settings. Source futures contracts and destination currency units describe different instruments and are configured separately.
NinjaTrader source
Futures contracts
The source trade uses a specific futures instrument and expiry. Its contract count belongs to that instrument.
OANDA receiver
10,000 EUR_USD units
An illustrative destination quantity. For EUR_USD, the units refer to EUR, the pair’s base currency.
This example explains quantity conventions; it is not a conversion preset or a recommended position size. Set the receiver quantity for your chosen instrument. Symbol-specific sizing exceptions take priority over default money management, and every additional OANDA receiver has its own settings.
RECEIVER CONTROLS
Configure how OANDA follows NinjaTrader
Keep instruments, sizing and trade management specific to each receiving account.
Money management
Define the destination size independently for your OANDA receiver.

Apply instrument-specific sizing rules that take priority over the default.

Match source and destination symbols, and choose which instruments the receiver follows.
Stops & targets

Control whether the receiver follows source trade modifications.

FAQ
NinjaTrader to OANDA FAQs
Answers about account setup, futures-to-forex mapping, OANDA units and receiver controls.
Can I copy NinjaTrader trades to OANDA?
Yes. Copygram connects NinjaTrader as the source and OANDA as the receiver. Add both accounts, create a copying room, map the instruments and configure OANDA sizing and trade-management settings. Activate the room to start copying.
How does a NinjaTrader to OANDA trade copier work?
Copygram uses trades on your connected NinjaTrader source account to generate orders on the OANDA receiver. The copying room defines the direction and applies each receiver’s symbol mapping, money management and trade-management settings. The accounts remain separate.
How do I connect NinjaTrader to Copygram?
Select NinjaTrader when adding a trading account. Enter your NinjaTrader username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. Copygram’s documented NinjaTrader connection uses the official Tradovate API. Choose the account you want to use as the source.
What do I need to connect an OANDA receiver?
Choose OANDA in Copygram, enter your OANDA personal access token in the API Key field, select Live or Practice under Account Type, and choose the receiving account in Account Selection. Add that account as a receiver in your room.
Can I use demo and live accounts?
Yes. Copygram supports demo and live accounts. For OANDA, select Practice or Live when connecting the account. Choose your NinjaTrader source, add the OANDA receiver and configure the copying rules in your room.
How do I map NinjaTrader futures to OANDA symbols?
Use the exact futures contract identifier and expiry from the NinjaTrader source, then map it to the intended OANDA instrument. For example, a Euro FX futures contract can be mapped to EUR_USD. Set the receiver’s quantity and destination price levels separately from the symbol mapping.
How do I size OANDA trades copied from NinjaTrader?
Configure the intended OANDA quantity through the receiver’s money-management settings. Futures contract counts and OANDA currency units use different conventions. Apply the quantity for your destination instrument, and include any symbol-specific sizing exceptions, which take priority over the default rule.
What do EUR_USD units mean on OANDA?
EUR_USD units refer to EUR, the base currency of the pair. An order of 10,000 EUR_USD units represents 10,000 EUR of base-currency quantity. This explains the unit convention; it is not a recommended position size or a fixed conversion from a NinjaTrader futures contract.
Can I copy to multiple OANDA accounts?
Yes. A Copygram room links one source to one or more receivers, with independent settings for each account. Give each OANDA receiver its own symbols, sizing and trade-management rules. Count your source and receivers when choosing the connected-account allowance in your plan.
How do I configure stops and targets on OANDA?
Use the receiver’s stop-loss and take-profit settings for the destination instrument. Keep the OANDA instrument’s prices and quote direction explicit when configuring protection for trades coming from a futures source.
Can I control copied closes and trade modifications?
Yes. Copygram provides Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders settings for the receiver. Choose the behavior for your workflow, including following source closes or managing your own exits, and track the activity in signal logs and your OANDA account.
Can I copy trades generated by a NinjaScript strategy?
Yes. Copygram routes account trades from your connected NinjaTrader source to its OANDA receiver, including strategy-generated trades. Keep the NinjaScript strategy running in its required NinjaTrader environment to generate the source account activity.
What should I update when my futures contract changes expiry?
Update the source symbol mapping to the exact futures contract and expiry you are now trading. Keep the intended OANDA destination symbol, receiver quantity and trade-management settings aligned with that mapping.
Can I choose which symbols and trading hours OANDA follows?
Yes. Use symbol filters to choose the instruments included in the receiver’s workflow, and configure a trading schedule for its active windows. Each OANDA receiver has independent settings, including its own schedule and symbol rules.
