NINJATRADER → NINJATRADER
Can you copy trades between NinjaTrader accounts?
Yes. Copygram connects one NinjaTrader sender to one or more NinjaTrader receivers in a room. Trades from the source are routed to the selected accounts using each receiver’s own sizing, symbols and trade-management rules.
One source account
Choose the NinjaTrader account you trade. It supplies the activity that the room copies.
One copying room
Keep the direction clear: one source sends trades to the receivers you select.
Your receiver accounts
Add the NinjaTrader accounts that follow the source. Each receiver keeps its own configuration.
BUILT FOR MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
Place the trade once. Keep each account in control.
Reduce repeated order entry while keeping a clear view of the source, receivers and settings.
Trade from one account
Keep your trading decision in the NinjaTrader source. Copygram routes its trades to your receivers.
Set each receiver’s size
Choose the contract quantity for every account instead of repeating one size across the whole setup.
Keep accounts organized
Give connections clear names and define their role in a room. Manage demo and live accounts together.
Follow copied activity
Use Copygram’s signal logs alongside account orders and positions to track each receiver’s activity.
QUICK START
How to set up NinjaTrader to NinjaTrader copying
Connect your accounts, choose the direction, and configure each receiver in five steps.
In Copygram, add a trading account and select NinjaTrader. Enter your NinjaTrader username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. Repeat for the accounts you want to connect. Copygram’s documented connection uses the official Tradovate API.

Create a room and select the NinjaTrader account whose trades you want to copy. Give the room and source a recognizable name so the copying direction is easy to follow.
Select the accounts that should follow the source. Use the account identifiers to distinguish each receiver, including when a login provides access to more than one account. Each room has one source and can have multiple receivers.

Set money management, exact contract symbols and expiry, symbol filters, trading schedules, stops and targets. Choose Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders behavior. Use whole-contract quantities for NinjaTrader futures.
Activate the room to start copying. Follow the source trade, Copygram signal log and receiver orders. Manage your demo and live accounts from the same workflow, with a clear view of each account’s contracts and trade updates.

WHOLE-CONTRACT SIZING
Set the intended contract quantity for each account
Use independent receiver settings to choose a whole-contract quantity for each NinjaTrader account. This example uses the same MES contract and expiry across all four accounts.
NinjaTrader source
2 contracts
The account generating the trade.
NinjaTrader A
2 contracts
Receiver A’s intended quantity.
NinjaTrader B
1 contract
Receiver B’s intended quantity.
NinjaTrader C
4 contracts
Receiver C’s intended quantity.
Illustrative configuration, not a recorded result, recommended position size or Copygram preset. Configure valid whole-contract quantities. With these positions open in the same direction, combined exposure is 9 contracts including the source; separate accounts do not diversify the same trade.
RECEIVER CONTROLS
Choose what each NinjaTrader receiver follows
Keep contract sizing, instruments and trade management specific to each account.
Money management
Configure the intended receiver quantity using valid whole contracts. Give each account its own size rule.
Symbol matching
Match the exact futures contract and expiry on the source and receiver accounts.
Symbol filters
Choose which instruments the receiver includes in its copying workflow.
Trading schedules
Define trading windows for each receiver and use the timezone for your schedule.
Stops & targets
Configure the receiver’s stop-loss and take-profit settings for the instruments you trade.
Copy Close Orders
Choose whether a receiver follows the source’s closing action or uses your own exit management.
Copy Modif Orders
Control whether the receiver follows source trade modifications.
Signal logs
Follow recorded actions and status alongside the orders and positions in your receiver accounts.
Symbol-specific sizing exceptions take priority over default money management. Apply the intended whole-contract quantity for each NinjaTrader instrument.
SYMBOLS & EXPIRY
Keep contract identity and quantity separate
Select the exact instrument and expiry for each receiver. Symbol mapping chooses the contract; money management defines its quantity.
Use the full source and receiver symbol, including expiry. When you move to a new futures contract, update the mapping to the intended expiry.
Mini and Micro contracts have different specifications. Map the source to the destination instrument, then set the receiver quantity independently.

CLEAR ACCOUNT ACTIVITY
Follow every account from one copying workflow
Give your room and accounts clear names, then use the source activity, Copygram logs and receiver positions to follow the copying.
Source activity
Identify the account and contract that generated the trade.
Copygram signal log
Follow the recorded action and status for each receiver.
Receiver orders
View the contract, quantity and trade updates in each NinjaTrader account.
Using a NinjaScript strategy? Keep its required NinjaTrader environment running to generate source trades. Copygram routes the resulting account trades to your configured receivers.
FAQ
NinjaTrader to NinjaTrader FAQs
Answers about multiple accounts, setup, whole-contract sizing and receiver settings.
Can I copy trades from one NinjaTrader account to another?
Yes. Copygram supports NinjaTrader as both a sender and a receiver. Connect your accounts, create a room with one NinjaTrader source, and add the other accounts as receivers. Set each receiver’s contract quantity and copying rules, then activate the room.
Can I copy trades to multiple NinjaTrader accounts at once?
Yes. A Copygram room connects one source to one or more receivers. Every receiver has independent settings. Choose the plan with the connected-account allowance for your source and the receivers you want to use.
Is connecting multiple NinjaTrader accounts the same as copying trades?
Connecting accounts makes them available in Copygram. The room defines the copying: select one source and the accounts that should receive its trades, configure their settings, and activate the room.
How do I connect a NinjaTrader account to Copygram?
Select NinjaTrader when adding a trading account. Enter your NinjaTrader username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. Copygram’s NinjaTrader guide documents the connection through the official Tradovate API. Select the intended account for its source or receiver role.
How many NinjaTrader accounts can I copy to?
Use your Copygram plan’s connected-account allowance to organize the setup. Count the NinjaTrader source and every receiver you want to connect. The pricing section shows the current plans and account allowances.
Can each NinjaTrader receiver use a different trade size?
Yes. Copygram provides independent money-management settings for each receiver. Configure the intended whole-contract quantity for each NinjaTrader account. Symbol-specific sizing exceptions take priority over the general money-management rule.
Can I copy Mini contracts to Micro contracts?
Yes. Use symbol mapping to connect the source instrument to the receiver instrument, then configure the receiver quantity separately. Mini and Micro contracts have different specifications, so changing the symbol does not automatically set equivalent exposure.
How do I handle futures symbols and contract expiry?
Use the exact source and receiver futures symbols, including the intended expiry. Keep symbol mapping separate from quantity settings. Update the mapping when you move your trading to a new contract expiry.
Does Copygram copy NinjaTrader trade closes and modifications?
Yes. Copygram provides Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders controls for each receiver. Choose how the receiver follows source closes and trade updates, together with its stop-loss and take-profit settings.
Can I choose which instruments and trading hours to copy?
Yes. Configure symbol filters and trading schedules for each receiver. Select the instruments and trading windows for that account, and use the timezone associated with your schedule.
Can I use demo and live NinjaTrader accounts?
Yes. Copygram supports demo and live NinjaTrader accounts. Connect the accounts, choose their source or receiver role, and configure the copying rules for each account in your room.
Can NinjaTrader accounts be both senders and receivers?
Yes. NinjaTrader supports both roles in Copygram. Each room has one source and your selected receivers. Keep a clear direction between accounts when organizing multiple rooms.
Can I copy trades opened by a NinjaScript strategy?
Yes. Copygram routes account trades from your connected NinjaTrader source to its receivers, including strategy-generated trades. Keep the NinjaScript strategy running in its required NinjaTrader environment to generate the source activity.
Can I also copy NinjaTrader trades to MT5 or MT4?
Yes. Copygram supports NinjaTrader as a source and MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4 as receivers. Use the NinjaTrader to MetaTrader guide for that route, including destination symbol mapping and MetaTrader lot sizing.
