NINJATRADER → TRADOVATE
How does NinjaTrader-to-Tradovate copying work?
Copygram routes trades from your connected NinjaTrader source to separate Tradovate receiving accounts. The copying room applies each receiver’s futures symbol mapping, contract quantity and trade-management rules. Each account keeps its own balance and positions.
NinjaTrader is your source
Choose the account you trade. Its account activity supplies the trades for your copying room.
Copygram connects the workflow
The room links one source to your selected receivers and applies each account’s copying rules.

QUICK START
How to copy NinjaTrader trades to Tradovate
Connect your accounts, create a copying room and configure your futures receivers in five steps.

In Copygram, add a trading account and select Tradovate. Enter your Tradovate username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. Choose the separate account that will receive copied trades.
Set NinjaTrader as the room’s source and add Tradovate as a receiver. Give the room and accounts clear names. One room connects one source to one or more receivers, each with independent settings.

Map the exact futures contract and expiry. Set whole-contract quantities, Symbol Lot Exceptions, filters, schedules, stops and targets for each receiver. Choose Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders behavior for your workflow.
Activate the room to start copying. Follow your NinjaTrader source activity, Copygram signal log and Tradovate orders. Manage demo and live accounts with a clear view of the receiving contract, quantity and trade updates.

CLEAR ACCOUNT ROLES
One NinjaTrader source. Separate Tradovate receivers.
Give every account a clear role in your copying room. Account identifiers keep the source and destinations easy to recognize.
The account you trade
Select your connected NinjaTrader account as the source. Its trades supply the activity that Copygram routes to your receivers.
The accounts that follow
Add distinct Tradovate accounts as receivers. Configure a separate contract quantity and trade-management settings for each one.
Names, IDs and environments
Use recognizable account names and identifiers. Keep the demo or live environment and the source or receiver role clear in your room.
NinjaTrader documents shared login access for Tradovate customers. Your copying setup is defined by separate source and receiving accounts, each identified in Copygram.
FUTURES CONTRACT MAPPING
Map the exact futures contract and expiry
Copy the same futures contract across accounts or configure an E-mini-to-Micro mapping with independent receiver sizing.
Source contract
Use the full contract identifier and expiry reported by your NinjaTrader connection, such as the ES or MES contract you trade.
Tradovate receiving contract
Select the exact contract and expiry in Tradovate. Map ES to ES for the same contract, or ES to MES for an E-mini-to-Micro workflow.
Receiver configuration
Set the receiver’s whole-contract quantity and trade-management rules. Keep instrument selection and contract sizing explicit for every account.

Symbol mapping selects the contract; receiver sizing defines the quantity. When you move to a new futures expiry, update the exact source and destination contract identifiers in your mapping.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACT SIZING
Choose contract quantities for every Tradovate receiver
Match receiver settings to the futures contract’s value per point and the quantity you want that account to trade.
E-mini and Micro contract values
ES $50 · MES $5 / point
CME specifies $50 per index point for one E-mini S&P 500 contract and $5 per point for one Micro E-mini S&P 500 contract. Contract selection and quantity work together.
Your Tradovate receiver quantity
Set whole-contract sizes
Configure the contract quantity independently for each receiving account. Use Symbol Lot Exceptions for instrument-specific sizing, including E-mini and Micro futures.
Ten MES contracts have the same aggregate dollar value per index point as one ES contract. This is a contract-value comparison, not a preset copying ratio. Choose each receiver’s whole-contract quantity; symbol-specific exceptions take priority over default money management.
RECEIVER CONTROLS
Configure how Tradovate follows NinjaTrader
Keep instruments, sizing and trade management specific to each receiving account.
Money management
Define the whole-contract quantity independently for every Tradovate receiver.

How do I identify my source and receiving accounts?

Can I map NinjaTrader E-mini futures to Tradovate Micro futures?
Yes. Map the exact E-mini source contract and expiry to the intended Micro contract on Tradovate, such as ES to MES. Configure the receiver’s whole-contract quantity separately. Symbol mapping selects the instrument; sizing defines how many contracts the receiver trades.
Can each Tradovate receiver use a different contract size?
Yes. Each Tradovate receiver has independent sizing settings. Configure whole-contract quantities for the receiving futures contract. Use Symbol Lot Exceptions for instrument-specific settings; those exceptions take priority over the receiver’s default money management.
Can one NinjaTrader source copy to multiple Tradovate accounts?
Yes. A Copygram room connects one source to one or more receivers. Add your separate Tradovate accounts and give each its own contract mapping, quantity and trade-management rules. Count the source and receivers when choosing your plan’s connected-account allowance.
How do I configure stops and targets on Tradovate?
Use the receiver’s stop-loss and take-profit settings for the receiving futures contract. Configure protection together with the contract mapping and quantity so that each Tradovate account follows its intended trade-management rules.

Can I copy trades generated by a NinjaScript strategy?
Yes. Copygram routes account trades from your connected NinjaTrader source to its Tradovate receivers, including strategy-generated trades. Keep the NinjaScript strategy running in its required NinjaTrader environment to generate the source activity.
What should I update when my futures contract changes expiry?
Update the mapping to the exact NinjaTrader contract and expiry you are now trading and the intended receiving contract on Tradovate. Keep each receiver’s whole-contract quantity and trade-management settings aligned with that contract.
Can I choose which symbols and trading hours Tradovate follows?
Yes. Symbol filters define which instruments the receiver follows, and trading schedules define its active windows. Configure the timezone and market hours for your workflow. Each Tradovate receiver has its own symbol rules and schedule.
