NINJATRADER → METATRADER
How does NinjaTrader to MetaTrader copying work?
Copygram connects one NinjaTrader source account to your MT5 and MT4 receivers in a copying room. Trades from the source are routed to each receiver using its own symbol mapping, lot sizing and trade-management settings.
Connect MetaTrader 5 through Copygram’s hosted infrastructure. Use your broker’s exact symbol, set receiver lots and manage hedging or netting accounts from the same workflow.
Connect MetaTrader 4 as a receiver. Match broker symbols and suffixes, then set the lot size independently of your NinjaTrader contract quantity. No Copygram EA needs to be attached to an MT4 chart.
BUILT FOR YOUR WORKFLOW
Keep trading in NinjaTrader. Manage your receivers in Copygram.
Connect your MetaTrader accounts once and give each one the copying rules it needs.
Hosted MT4 & MT5
Copygram manages the MetaTrader connection. No Copygram receiver EA and no personal VPS are needed for receiver hosting.
Multiple accounts
Copy one NinjaTrader source to MT4 and MT5 accounts together. Add receivers within your plan’s connected-account allowance.
Independent settings
Choose symbols, lots, stops, targets and trading schedules separately for every receiver account.
Clear trade activity
Follow source activity, Copygram logs and MetaTrader orders in one workflow, with a clear view of each receiver’s actions.
Running a NinjaScript strategy? Keep its NinjaTrader environment running to generate source trades. Copygram handles the copying and hosted MetaTrader connection.
QUICK START
Connect NinjaTrader to MT5 or MT4 in five steps
Add your accounts, create a room and choose the settings for each receiver.
In Copygram, add a trading account and select NinjaTrader. Enter your NinjaTrader username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. The connection uses the official Tradovate API with your NinjaTrader credentials.

Choose MetaTrader 5 Hosted or MetaTrader 4 Hosted. Enter Account Name, Login ID, Password and the exact broker Server. Use the account’s trading password so the receiver can place trades; investor access is read-only.
Choose NinjaTrader as the source and add your MT5 or MT4 accounts as receivers. Give the room a recognizable name. Each room has one source, and every receiver has independent settings.

Match each source symbol to the broker’s destination instrument. Configure money management, symbol-specific lot exceptions, stop-loss and take-profit behavior, schedules and close/modification controls.
Activate the room to start copying NinjaTrader trades. Follow source activity, Copygram logs and the MT4 or MT5 receiver orders. Manage your demo and live accounts from the same Copygram workflow.

SYMBOL MAPPING
Map NinjaTrader futures to your MetaTrader instruments
Use the source symbol detected by Copygram and the exact destination symbol from MetaTrader Market Watch. Include the futures expiry and any broker prefix or suffix.
ES / MES → S&P 500
Map your source contract to the broker’s S&P 500 instrument, for example US500. Use its point value, lot increments and trading hours.
NQ / MNQ → Nasdaq-100
Map the exact futures contract to the broker’s Nasdaq-100 symbol, for example US100 or NAS100. Apply the broker’s symbol suffix when present.
Gold futures → Gold
Select the source gold contract and your broker’s gold instrument, for example XAUUSD. Set receiver lots using that instrument’s contract specifications.
These are instrument-naming examples. Use the actual symbols and contract specifications for your accounts. Update the source mapping when you move to a new futures expiry.

CONTRACTS & LOTS
Set MetaTrader lots independently of futures contracts
A NinjaTrader futures contract and a MetaTrader lot use different instrument specifications. Set receiver quantity from the destination’s value per lot and allowed volume increments.
Source: 1 MES
$5 / point
CME’s Micro E-mini S&P 500 contract has a $5 value per index point.
Hypothetical receiver
$10 / point
Assume one lot of an example broker instrument is worth $10 per index point.
Illustrative arithmetic
0.50 lots
$5 ÷ $10 = 0.50 lots, representing the same dollar value per point in this example.
The broker value above is hypothetical. This is point-value arithmetic, not a sizing recommendation or Copygram preset. Use your broker’s specifications and account currency; margin, fees, prices and stop-loss distances are separate.
A symbol lot exception overrides general money management. For example, a 0.05-lot exception applies to that symbol even when the general fixed-lot rule is 0.10. Use valid minimums, maximums and volume steps for the receiving account.

RECEIVER CONTROLS
Your MT5 and MT4 accounts. Your copying rules.
Configure each receiving account independently, including accounts at different brokers.
Money management
Use fixed-lot, multiplier, balance-based or risk-based sizing. Give each receiver its own rule and instrument-specific lot exceptions.
Stop loss & take profit
Choose the receiver’s protective-level settings and the behavior for trades without a source stop loss or take profit. Use the destination instrument’s price specifications.
Closes & modifications
Use Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders to control how the receiver follows source closes and trade updates.
Symbols & suffixes
Match source contracts to exact broker symbols. Configure prefixes and suffixes so copied activity reaches the intended receiver instrument.
Filters & schedules
Select the instruments and trading windows for each account. Align schedules with the timezone and market sessions you use.
Trade comments & logs
Label copied MetaTrader trades with comments and follow receiver activity in Copygram logs. Keep each account’s automation easy to identify.
Trades affect one combined position per symbol. A new deal can increase, reduce, close or reverse that position depending on its direction and size.
Separate positions can coexist on the same symbol. Copygram’s hosted MT5 connection supports both hedging and netting account modes.

FAQ
NinjaTrader to MetaTrader FAQs
Answers about MT5 and MT4 connections, hosted copying, symbol mapping and receiver sizing.
Can I copy trades from NinjaTrader to MT5?
Yes. Copygram connects NinjaTrader as the source and MetaTrader 5 as the receiver. Add the accounts, create a room, map the source instrument to the MT5 broker symbol and set the receiver’s lot sizing and trade-management rules.
Can I copy trades from NinjaTrader to MT4?
Yes. Add your NinjaTrader source and MetaTrader 4 receiver to Copygram, then connect them in a copying room. Configure the broker’s exact symbol, any prefix or suffix, and the intended receiver lot size.
How does NinjaTrader connect to Copygram?
Select NinjaTrader when adding a trading account. Enter your NinjaTrader username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. Copygram’s NinjaTrader guide documents the connection through the official Tradovate API.
What details do I need for the MT4 or MT5 receiver?
Choose MetaTrader 4 Hosted or MetaTrader 5 Hosted and enter Account Name, Login ID, Password and Server. Use the exact broker server and the account’s trading password. Investor access is read-only and cannot authorize new trades.
Do I need to install a Copygram EA on MT4 or MT5?
No. Copygram connects MT4 and MT5 accounts through hosted infrastructure. Add the account in Copygram and configure it as a receiver; there is no Copygram Expert Advisor to attach to a MetaTrader chart.
Do I need a VPS for the MetaTrader receiver?
No personal VPS is needed for Copygram’s hosted MetaTrader receiver connection. If a NinjaScript strategy generates your source trades, keep its NinjaTrader environment running. Copygram manages the copying and the hosted receiver connection.
Can one NinjaTrader account copy to MT4 and MT5 together?
Yes. One Copygram room can connect a NinjaTrader source to multiple MT4 and MT5 receivers. Every receiver has independent settings. Choose a plan with the connected-account allowance for your source and receivers.
Can the MetaTrader receivers use different brokers?
Yes. Connect your MetaTrader accounts and select the exact server for each broker. Configure symbol mapping, lot sizing and trade-management rules independently to match each receiver’s instrument specifications.
How do I map NinjaTrader futures to MT4 or MT5 symbols?
Use the source symbol detected by Copygram and the exact destination symbol in MetaTrader Market Watch. Add the pair in receiver symbol mapping, including any broker prefix or suffix. Keep the source contract expiry current and configure lot sizing separately.
Does one NinjaTrader futures contract equal one MetaTrader lot?
No. Futures contracts and MetaTrader lots have instrument-specific values. Use the source contract multiplier and the receiver’s value per lot, minimum volume and volume step to configure the intended receiver quantity.
Can each MT4 or MT5 account use a different lot size?
Yes. Each receiver has independent money-management settings and symbol-specific lot exceptions. A lot exception takes priority over the general sizing rule. Use the destination broker’s valid lot increments for that instrument.
Does Copygram support MT5 hedging and netting accounts?
Yes. Copygram’s hosted MT5 connection supports hedging and netting accounts. Netting accounts hold one combined position per symbol; hedging accounts allow separate positions on the same symbol. The account mode determines how deals affect positions.
Can I copy trades opened by a NinjaScript strategy?
Yes. Copygram detects trades opened on the connected NinjaTrader source account, including strategy-generated trades, and routes them to your receivers. Keep the source strategy running in its required NinjaTrader environment.
Does Copygram convert NinjaScript into MQL4 or MQL5?
Copygram copies trades between accounts. Your strategy continues to run in NinjaTrader, while Copygram routes its account trades to MT4 or MT5. Converting the strategy’s code to run directly in MetaTrader is a separate development task.
