Copying between your own accounts Allowed, with limits

FTMO's CFD rules don't ban copying between your own accounts, but identical or near-identical trading across accounts counts toward one cap of $400,000 per trader or strategy. That includes trades copied from signal groups or copy-trading services. Above the cap, FTMO may suspend the accounts. The plain sentence 'copy trading across your own accounts is permitted' appears only on FTMO's Futures rules page, not on the CFD pages.

Third-party trade copiers Not stated

No CFD page explicitly allows or bans trade-copier software. The max-allocation FAQ mentions trades copied from copy-trading services but only counts them toward the $400,000 cap. Automation is generally allowed within server-load limits. The Terms (clause 7.2.1) bar letting a third party trade for you or in coordination with you.

Bots and automated trading Allowed, with limits

Discretionary, algorithmic and EA trading are allowed. Platform servers cap you at 200 open orders at a time and 2,000 positions per day. The Forbidden Trading Practices page bans ultra-high-speed tools, strategies that exploit price display errors or feed delays, and EAs that send more than 2,000 server requests per day. A third-party EA can get you denied the FTMO Account if other traders running the same EA push the strategy over the max allocation.

Copying to or from other firms Not stated

The CFD pages and the FTMO Challenge Terms (updated 12 Oct 2026) don't say whether you can copy trades to or from accounts at other firms. They do ban opposite positions across accounts held with other operators/providers. The $400,000 cap counts accounts at FTMO and FTMO Group members.

Opposite positions across accounts Not allowed

Banned: opposite positions or other manipulative combinations of trades between connected accounts or accounts at other operators/providers, done alone or with other people. Also banned: opposing positions on the same or highly correlated instruments used to get around the Best Day or Consistency rules. Opposite positions inside a single account are allowed.

Copy trades to your FTMO accounts

Copygram connects FTMO accounts through MetaTrader.

Settings for each FTMO account

Each account in a Room has its own settings, so one signal can open different sizes, stops and symbols on each account.

  • Money management

Fixed lot or risk-based sizing for every copied trade.

Example Test a new source at a fixed 0.10 lot, then move to percentage-of-balance risk.

  • AI trade validation

Skip signals whose AI confidence score falls below your threshold.

Example A 60% threshold executes a signal scored 75% and skips one scored 45%.

  • Stop loss and take profit

Use the signal's levels, set your own, and decide whether to trade when a level is missing.

Example Refuse any trade that arrives without a stop loss.

  • Symbol mapping

Translate the source's symbol names to your platform's names.

Example GOLD in the signal becomes XAUUSD on your broker.

  • Symbol filters

Execute only listed symbols, or skip the ones you don't trade.

Example Copy EURUSD, GBPUSD and XAUUSD only.

  • Lot exceptions per symbol

A fixed size for specific symbols that overrides the general rule.

Example Gold always opens at 0.01 even when the default is 0.50.

  • Prefixes and suffixes

Detect or add broker symbol prefixes and suffixes automatically.

Example EURUSD becomes EURUSD.pro on a broker that uses the .pro suffix.

  • Copy closes and modifications

Choose whether exits and SL/TP changes from the source are mirrored.

Example Follow the entries, but manage your own exits.

  • Trading schedule

Limit each receiver to the days and hours you choose.

Example Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 22:00 UTC.

  • MetaTrader comment

Add a comment to every MT4/MT5 trade, for example when a prop firm asks you to label strategy trades.

Example Tag every copied trade “CopygramSignal”.
