MT4 & MT5 → NINJATRADER
What is a MetaTrader to NinjaTrader trade copier?
A MetaTrader to NinjaTrader trade copier routes account trades from MT4 or MT5 to a NinjaTrader receiving account. Copygram organizes the connection in a room and applies each receiver’s symbol mapping, contract quantities and trade-management rules.
MetaTrader supplies the source trades
Trade manually or use your existing Expert Advisor on the connected MT4 or MT5 account. Its account activity supplies the room’s trade instructions.
Copygram applies your copying rules
The hosted connection follows source account activity. Your room defines the receiving accounts and their independent settings.
NinjaTrader receives the trades
Select the futures contract and whole-contract quantity for each receiving account. Manage its orders and positions with your receiver rules.
MT4 & MT5 SOURCES
Copy from the MetaTrader version you already use
Connect MT4 or MT5 as the source and give each NinjaTrader receiver its own futures instruments, contract quantities and trade-management rules.
MT4 to NinjaTrader trade copying
Connect MetaTrader 4 as your source. Copy manual trades and trades opened by your existing MT4 Expert Advisor, with independent settings for every NinjaTrader receiver.
MT5 to NinjaTrader trade copying
Connect MetaTrader 5 as your source. Copygram’s hosted MT5 connection supports hedging and netting account modes, with receiver-specific mapping and quantities.
One source per copying room
A room connects one source to one or more receivers. Use separate rooms for separate MT4 and MT5 sources to keep their settings and account activity organized.
Copygram hosts the MetaTrader account connection. Connect with your account name, login ID, password and exact broker server. For a read-only MT5 source, use the investor password specified in the connection guide.
EXISTING EA TRADES
Copy your existing EA’s trades without installing a Copygram EA
Keep your strategy in MetaTrader and manage the receiving futures accounts in Copygram.
Your EA continues generating trades in its own MT4 or MT5 environment. Copygram’s hosted account connection follows those trades and routes them to NinjaTrader using your receiver settings. Your strategy stays in MetaTrader; trade copying does not convert MQL4 or MQL5 code into NinjaScript.

QUICK START
How to copy MT4 and MT5 trades to NinjaTrader
Connect your source, add NinjaTrader receivers, configure their rules and activate your Copygram room.
Select MT4 Hosted or MT5 Hosted in Copygram. Enter Account Name, Login ID, Password and Server. Choose the correct MetaTrader version and exact broker server. For a read-only MT5 source, use your investor password.

Add a trading account and choose NinjaTrader. Enter your NinjaTrader username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. Select the account and demo or live environment that will receive the copied trades.
Set your connected MT4 or MT5 account as the source and add NinjaTrader as the receiver. Add more receivers within your plan’s account allowance and configure each independently. Use a separate room for each source.

Map the exact source symbol to the receiving NinjaTrader contract and expiry. Set whole-contract quantities independently of MetaTrader lots. Configure stops, targets, Copy Close Orders, Copy Modif Orders, filters and schedules.
Activate the room to start copying. Follow manual or EA-generated MetaTrader trades through the Copygram signal log to NinjaTrader orders and positions. Keep your existing EA’s own trading environment running when it generates your source trades.

SYMBOL MAPPING
Map the instrument and define the receiving prices
Use your source broker’s actual symbol specifications and the exact NinjaTrader futures contract. Configure mapping, quantity and protection for the receiving instrument.
Your broker’s MetaTrader instrument
Use the source symbol and its contract specifications. A Nasdaq-100 CFD may be named NAS100 or US100, depending on the broker.
Your NinjaTrader futures contract
Choose the intended futures instrument, such as Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 (MNQ), and its exact contract expiry. Keep the mapping aligned when the expiry changes.
Contract-specific quantity and prices
Set the whole-contract quantity and receiving stop-loss and take-profit settings. CFDs and futures can use different prices, tick values and trading conditions.

Symbol mapping selects the destination instrument. Set quantities and receiving price levels separately using its specifications. The NAS100-to-MNQ diagram is an illustration, not a preset lots-to-contracts ratio.
LOTS & FUTURES CONTRACTS
Set NinjaTrader contracts independently of MetaTrader lots
Use the source instrument’s specifications and the receiving futures contract value to configure each account’s whole-contract quantity.
Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 (MNQ)
$2 / point · $0.50 / tick
CME specifies $2 per index point and a minimum tick of 0.25 index points for MNQ. One tick is therefore $0.50 per contract, before fees.
Your NinjaTrader receiver quantity
Set whole-contract sizes
MetaTrader lot values depend on the broker’s instrument specifications. Configure the NinjaTrader quantity separately. Symbol Lot Exceptions apply instrument-specific sizing ahead of the general rule.
There is no universal one-lot-to-one-contract relationship. Read the source contract size, tick size, tick value and currency alongside the receiving futures specifications. Plan partial exits in whole contracts—for example, two receiving contracts can be allocated as one contract to each of two targets.
RECEIVER CONTROLS
Give every NinjaTrader account its own copying rules
Configure the instruments, contract quantities and trade-management settings for every receiver in your Copygram room.
Independent quantities
Set a whole-contract quantity for each NinjaTrader account, independently of the MetaTrader source lots.
Symbol exceptions
Use instrument-specific sizing rules that take priority over the general money-management setting.
Mapping & filters
Map the source instrument to an exact futures contract and choose which symbols the receiver follows.
Stops & targets
Configure stop-loss and take-profit settings using the receiving futures instrument’s price convention.
Copy Close Orders
Choose whether the NinjaTrader receiver follows the source’s closing actions.
Copy Modif Orders
Choose whether the receiver follows source trade modifications, alongside its protection settings.
Trading schedules
Set the receiver’s trading windows, days and time zone around your chosen market session.
Signal logs
Follow recorded actions and status alongside the NinjaTrader account’s orders and positions.
CLEAR ACCOUNT ACTIVITY
Follow MetaTrader activity through to NinjaTrader
Keep the source trade, copying action and receiving futures account easy to identify.
MT4 or MT5 source
View the manual or EA-generated trade, broker symbol and account activity that supplies the room.
Copygram signal log
Follow the recorded action and receiver status for your source-to-NinjaTrader workflow.
NinjaTrader orders
View the receiving contract, direction, whole-contract quantity and trade updates in the selected account.
Keep clear account names and room directions as you add receivers. Each account has independent mapping, quantities and trade-management settings.
FAQ
MetaTrader to NinjaTrader FAQs
Answers about MT4 and MT5 sources, existing EAs, hosted connections, futures mapping and receiver settings.
Can I copy MT4 trades to NinjaTrader?
Yes. Copygram connects MetaTrader 4 as a source and NinjaTrader as a receiver. Connect your accounts, create a copying room and configure the receiving futures contract, whole-contract quantity and trade-management settings. Activate the room to start copying.
Can I copy MT5 trades to NinjaTrader?
Yes. Connect MetaTrader 5 as the source and add your NinjaTrader receiving account in Copygram. The room applies each receiver’s symbol mapping, contract quantities and trade-management settings to the source account activity.
Can Copygram copy trades opened by my existing Expert Advisor?
Yes. Copygram copies manual trades and trades opened by your existing EA on the connected MetaTrader account. Keep your EA running in its own MT4 or MT5 environment. Copygram follows the resulting account activity and applies the NinjaTrader receiver’s settings.
Do I need to install a Copygram EA on MetaTrader?
No. Copygram connects MT4 and MT5 through its hosted infrastructure, so you do not need to attach a Copygram EA to a chart. Connect the source account using its account details and broker server, then configure your copying room.
Do I need a VPS for the MetaTrader copying connection?
Copygram hosts the MetaTrader account connection, so you do not need a personal VPS to run the copier connection. If your existing EA generates source trades, keep that EA running in its own required MetaTrader environment.
What details do I need to connect the MetaTrader source?
Select MT4 Hosted or MT5 Hosted and enter Account Name, Login ID, Password and Server. Use the correct MetaTrader version and exact broker server for the source account whose trades you want to copy.
Can I use an investor password for an MT5 source?
Yes. Copygram’s MT5 Hosted guide specifies an investor password for read-only source accounts. Connect that MT5 account as your room’s source, then add the NinjaTrader receiver using its own trading-account credentials.
How do I connect the NinjaTrader receiver?
Select NinjaTrader when adding a trading account in Copygram. Enter your username and password; the Device ID is generated automatically. Choose the receiving account and demo or live environment, then add it to the room with MetaTrader as the source.
Does Copygram support MT5 hedging and netting accounts?
Yes. Copygram’s hosted MT5 connection supports hedging and netting account modes. Connect the account as the source and configure each NinjaTrader receiver’s contract mapping, quantities and trade-management settings in the room.
Can I use demo and live accounts?
Yes. Copygram supports demo and live MetaTrader and NinjaTrader accounts. Connect the intended source and receiving accounts, configure their instruments and quantities, and activate your copying room.
Can I map a MetaTrader CFD to a NinjaTrader futures contract?
Yes. Configure symbol mapping between the source instrument and the intended NinjaTrader futures contract. Use the broker’s actual source specifications, the exact futures contract and expiry, and contract-specific receiving prices. Set the whole-contract quantity separately from the source lots.
How do I set futures quantities from MetaTrader lots?
Configure the NinjaTrader quantity independently using the source instrument’s specifications and the receiving futures contract value. There is no universal one-lot-to-one-contract ratio. Set whole-contract quantities and use Symbol Lot Exceptions for instrument-specific sizing.
How do I configure stops and targets for the futures receiver?
Configure the NinjaTrader receiver’s stop-loss and take-profit settings for its selected futures contract. Use the receiving instrument’s price convention, tick size and quantity. CFD and futures prices can differ, so symbol mapping and receiving price levels are separate settings.
Can NinjaTrader follow source closes and modifications?
Yes. Copygram provides Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders for each receiver. Choose whether NinjaTrader follows source closing actions and trade updates alongside the receiver’s own stop-loss and take-profit settings.
Can one MetaTrader source copy to multiple NinjaTrader accounts?
Yes. A Copygram room connects one source to one or more receivers with independent settings. Set the instrument, whole-contract quantity and trade-management rules for every NinjaTrader account. Count the source and each receiver in your plan’s account allowance.
What should I update when the receiving futures contract changes expiry?
Update the symbol mapping to the intended NinjaTrader contract and expiry. Keep the receiver’s contract quantity, symbol exceptions, stops, targets and trade-management settings aligned with the selected receiving instrument.
