The workflow explained

What is a Tradovate to TradeLocker trade copier?

Tradovate supplies the account trade. Copygram applies your receiver rules. TradeLocker receives the order.

A Tradovate to TradeLocker trade copier uses trades opened on a Tradovate sender account as instructions for a connected TradeLocker receiver. Copygram links the accounts in a room and applies the receiver’s symbol mapping, sizing and order settings.

The accounts remain separate. Copygram applies your chosen symbol mapping and receiver sizing to each TradeLocker order, using the destination account’s instrument specifications.

How it works · step by step

How to copy Tradovate trades to TradeLocker in 4 steps

Connect your accounts, create a room, configure your receiver and start copying. Use the same workflow with demo and live accounts.

Connect Tradovate and TradeLocker — illustrative workflow.

01

Connect Tradovate and TradeLocker

Add Tradovate through OAuth, complete the authorization and return to Copygram. Select the intended sender account. Add TradeLocker using your provider-issued trading email, password and server, then select the intended receiver from the available accounts.

02

Create a room with Tradovate as the sender

Choose your connected Tradovate account as the source and add the TradeLocker account as a receiver. A room connects one sender to one or more receivers, each with independent settings. Use separate rooms for different senders.

Map symbols and set receiver sizing — illustrative workflow.

03

Map symbols and set receiver sizing

Match the exact source contract to the intended TradeLocker instrument. Set receiver sizing, symbol filters, stops and targets, close and modification controls, and your schedule. Check contract size, price basis, minimum size and increments.

04

Activate your room and start copying

Start your room to copy Tradovate trades to TradeLocker automatically. Copygram applies your receiver settings to incoming trades. Follow entries, stops, targets and trade updates in your Copygram logs and TradeLocker account. Demo and live accounts are supported.

Symbol mapping

Map Tradovate futures to the right TradeLocker instrument

Use the source contract name recorded by the connection and the exact instrument available on your TradeLocker account.

Example relationships for NQ, MNQ, ES and MES contracts, with destination sizing and contract rollover checks.

NQ → provider’s Nasdaq-100 instrument

Map the exact futures contract and expiry to your provider’s Nasdaq-100 symbol, with your chosen receiver size.

MNQ → provider’s Nasdaq-100 instrument

Use a separate sizing rule from NQ, even when both contracts map to the same destination symbol.

ES or MES → provider’s S&P 500 instrument

Confirm the correct source contract, destination specifications and trading hours.

Review each contract rollover

Update the source contract name in your mapping when you move to a new futures contract month.

TradeLocker instrument names follow your provider’s symbol list. Select the exact Nasdaq-100 or S&P 500 symbol in your account and link it to the corresponding Tradovate contract.

A worked example

Set TradeLocker size independently from futures contracts

One futures contract does not automatically equal one destination lot. Configure receiver sizing and symbol exceptions, then verify the resulting exposure.

A 20-point adverse move

1 NQ: $20 per point → $400

1 MNQ: $2 per point → $40

Before fees or slippage

Educational example only

Source contract value

One E-mini Nasdaq-100 contract (NQ) is $20 per index point. One Micro E-mini (MNQ) is $2.

Destination value per point

Read your provider’s contract specification. Calculate exposure from the destination size and point value.

Minimum size and increments

Check the permitted lot size, minimum order and rounding on the resulting TradeLocker order.

Stop distance and margin

Review the destination’s stop-distance rules and available margin for the intended order.

Costs and account currency

Allow for the destination’s fees, spread and account currency when comparing monetary exposure.

Verify each receiver

A matching symbol or lot multiplier alone does not establish equal exposure across accounts.

Check prices and protective orders separately

A futures contract and a provider’s CFD can reference the same market while trading at different prices. Verify the entry, stop and target against the destination’s own quote.

Give NQ and MNQ separate sizing checks

The source multipliers differ by a factor of ten. Set the receiver size independently for NQ and MNQ, including when both map to the same destination symbol.

This hypothetical 20-point move illustrates contract value; it is not a trade or sizing recommendation.

TradeLocker receiver controls

Control how each TradeLocker receiver copies trades

Configure each receiver for its account and instrument. Use independent sizing, symbol rules and trade-management settings for accounts following the same Tradovate sender.

Money management and symbol exceptions

Choose your receiver’s sizing method and verify the calculated size. Use symbol-specific lot exceptions when an instrument needs a different setting. Check the destination’s contract size, minimum size and rounding in the resulting order.

FAQ

Tradovate to TradeLocker — Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about account connections, futures mapping, destination sizing and receiver controls.

Can I copy trades from Tradovate to TradeLocker?

Yes. Copygram supports Tradovate as a sender and TradeLocker as a receiver for demo and live accounts. Connect both accounts, create a room, map your symbols and configure the receiver’s sizing and order controls. Activate the room to start copying.

Do I need API keys to connect Tradovate to Copygram?

No. Use Copygram’s Tradovate OAuth connection and authorize access through Tradovate. Then select your Tradovate account as the room’s sender. No custom API keys are needed.

What details do I need to connect TradeLocker?

Enter the trading email, password and server supplied by your broker or prop firm. Select your TradeLocker demo or live account from the accounts shown in Copygram, then add it as a receiver in your room.

Can I map NQ or MNQ to US100 on TradeLocker?

Yes. Use symbol mapping to link the exact NQ or MNQ contract to your provider’s Nasdaq-100 symbol, such as US100. Set receiver sizing independently for each source contract using the destination instrument’s contract specifications.

Does one futures contract equal one TradeLocker lot?

No. Futures contract multipliers and broker-defined TradeLocker contract sizes differ. Configure receiver sizing independently and check the instrument’s value per point, minimum size, size increments, stop distance and margin requirements. NQ and MNQ also have different contract values, so review their sizing separately even when they map to the same destination symbol.

How do I manage stops and targets on TradeLocker?

Use the TradeLocker receiver’s stop-loss and take-profit settings to control protective orders. Configure these alongside your symbol mapping and receiver size, using the destination instrument’s price basis. Each receiver has its own settings.

Can Copygram follow closes and trade modifications?

Yes. Enable Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders in your TradeLocker receiver settings to follow closes and trade modifications from Tradovate. Each receiver can manage these controls independently.

Can one Tradovate account copy to multiple TradeLocker accounts?

Yes. A Copygram room connects one sender to one or more receivers, each with independent settings. Add each TradeLocker account as a receiver within your plan’s trading-account allowance. Use separate rooms for different Tradovate senders.

Do I need a VPS, MetaTrader or an EA?

No. This Copygram workflow connects Tradovate and TradeLocker through the cloud; it does not require an intermediate MetaTrader account, a Copygram EA or a VPS you maintain. Your account connections and room must remain active, and you should monitor the resulting trades.

Can I trade through TradingView and use Tradovate as the sender?

Yes. When you place a trade through TradingView using your connected Tradovate account, Copygram uses the Tradovate account trade as the source and copies it to your TradeLocker receiver. For standalone TradingView alerts, use Copygram’s TradingView-to-TradeLocker webhook workflow.
