How to Copy Trades from Multiple Telegram Channels
Education
Connect Telegram channels through separate Copygram Rooms. Follow a reply-update example, check overlapping signals and choose the right receiving platform.

To copy signals from multiple Telegram channels with Copygram, connect your Telegram account and create a separate Room for each channel you want to follow. A Room has one source and can send instructions to multiple receivers. Configure each receiver’s symbols, sizing and Telegram options for that channel’s messages.
The Telegram trade copier explains the product. This guide focuses on organising several channels, handling their updates and keeping overlapping instructions understandable.
Use one Room per Telegram channel
Suppose you follow Channel A and Channel B. Put Channel A in Room A and Channel B in Room B. Then choose the receiving accounts for each Room. You can give the channels different destinations or deliberately direct them to the same receiving account.
This structure matters because each channel can use different symbol names, message formats and update habits. A setting that fits one channel may not fit another. Clear Room names also help you trace a logged instruction back to its source.
Map two channels before connecting them
Channel | Room | Intended receivers |
|---|---|---|
Channel A | A — FX signals | Your chosen MT5 account |
Channel B | B — separate strategy | Your chosen TradeLocker account |
This is an illustrative account map. Each row has one channel and one Room; add more receivers within a row only when those accounts should follow that channel. If you intentionally use the same receiver in both rows, review the combined exposure and how conflicting instructions will be handled. Separate Room names make the sources traceable; they do not create isolated subaccounts inside the broker account.
Connect the channels and receivers
Open Copygram and connect the Telegram account you use to access the channels.
Add your receiving trading accounts using the connection details for each destination platform.
Create a Room and select the first Telegram channel as its source.
Add the accounts that should receive that channel’s instructions and configure each receiver.
Repeat with a separate Room for each additional channel, then review and activate your intended workflows.
For MT4 or MT5 destinations, use the Telegram-to-MetaTrader guide. Other destination-specific connection instructions and the current controls are in the Copygram documentation.
Configure the channel’s instructions
Match the symbols to each receiver
A channel may write GOLD while the destination account lists XAUUSD or XAUUSDm. Use Symbol Matching to pair the incoming name with the exact receiver symbol. Review prefix or suffix settings when a broker adds characters to its instrument names.
Configure this separately for each receiver. If two accounts use different gold symbols, a single assumption about the destination name is not enough. The symbol-mapping guide explains how to investigate a mismatch.
Set lot sizing and entry behaviour
Choose the receiver’s money-management setting and value. Symbol Lot Exceptions can override the main sizing setting for a particular instrument, so include them in your configuration review.
Telegram Options include Market and Signal Price entry behaviour. Market uses the current market price; Signal Price uses the signal’s entry price for a pending order. Choose the behaviour that reflects how you intend to handle that channel’s instructions, rather than assuming they are interchangeable.
Review stop-loss and take-profit settings too, including how to handle signals without an SL or TP. These choices determine what the receiver does with an incomplete instruction.
Filter messages and instruments deliberately
Telegram word and phrase filters can ignore messages containing specified terms. Use them for messages you do not want processed, and check that a chosen phrase does not also appear in valid instructions.
Symbol Filters control which instruments the receiver accepts. Execute only uses the destination platform’s symbol; Avoid uses the incoming signal symbol. Execute only takes precedence if both lists are configured. A Trading Schedule can further define when that receiver operates.
Copygram also documents AI Trade Validation as a separate control. Parsing a Telegram message and applying a validation filter are different steps: an instruction being understood does not mean it must pass every enabled receiver rule.
Keep trade updates tied to the original signal
Copygram’s Telegram guidance uses replies to associate updates with a specific original signal. That context matters when a channel has more than one trade open in the same symbol.
Open: the original message supplies the trade direction and its entry details, with SL and TP where provided.
Close: a close instruction sent as a reply identifies the original trade to close.
Adjust: a reply can request a partial close, break-even action or an SL/TP update for the original signal.
The documentation distinguishes a reply-based close from a standalone instruction such as “Close EURUSD,” which is described as closing open trades for that symbol. A bare “Close” without a reply or symbol does not identify the intended position. Review how your channel publishes updates, not just how it formats opening signals.
Also check Copy Close Orders and Copy Modif Orders on the receiver. Message context and receiver settings both matter when explaining why a later update was or was not followed.
Walk through an opening signal and its replies
The following is an invented format example for testing interpretation, not a real customer signal or a recommendation to trade at these prices. Start with a permitted demo workflow and review the parsed instruction before relying on a provider’s format.
Message sequence | Example | What to check |
|---|---|---|
New signal | BUY EURUSD, entry 1.0850, SL 1.0820, TP 1.0880 | Parsed direction, symbol, entry mode and receiver sizing |
Reply to that original message | SL to breakeven | Original-message link, Copy Modif Orders and accepted receiver SL |
Reply to that original message | Close half | Correct original trade, available volume and receiver result |
Reply to that original message | Close trade | Copy Close Orders and remaining receiver position |
Copygram’s Telegram documentation distinguishes linked replies from standalone messages. A standalone “Close EURUSD” is documented as a symbol-wide close instruction, not a way to identify one particular entry. A standalone “Close” with no reply and no symbol lacks that context. Check the actual receiver results, especially when several Rooms use the same account.
Test the provider’s real update style as well as its opening template. If your ignore-word filter contains “update,” check whether valid SL/TP updates also include that word. A filter intended to remove commentary can otherwise exclude a message you wanted to process.
Handle overlap between channels explicitly
Two channels may publish the same market idea. They may also publish opposite instructions in the same symbol. Treat them as separate sources when designing your Rooms; do not assume that connecting both channels automatically removes duplicate ideas or resolves conflicting trades.
Choose whether each channel should use a separate receiver or share an account. If they share, review their combined activity and the receiving account’s position mode. For MT5, netting and hedging accounts handle positions differently.
Per-receiver settings help control how each Room handles instructions. They are not, by themselves, a guarantee that several channels cannot create overlapping exposure. For broader account organisation, see the multiple-account guide.
Separate receivers or one shared account?
Arrangement | What to verify |
|---|---|
A different receiver for each channel | Easier to trace each channel’s positions. Check that the plan covers the connected accounts you need. |
Two Rooms share a receiver | Review the combined orders on that account. Test how same-symbol entries and closes behave together. |
One channel feeds several receivers | Keep one source Room and configure each receiver independently; verify the full trade lifecycle on each. |
Before adding Channel B to an account already following Channel A, run an allowed demo check with their actual message formats. Include a normal entry, a reply-based modification and a closing instruction. Keep the message reference, Room name, receiver order reference and observed outcome together. If a close affects an unintended position, resolve the channel rules and account arrangement before extending the workflow.
Use logs to identify the cause
When something differs from your intended setup, start with the relevant Room and time. Compare the incoming message with the receiver’s logged action, symbol, lot size and status.
No opening trade: review the source channel, receiver connection, filters, schedule and any enabled validation rule.
Wrong symbol: compare the channel’s text with the receiver’s exact symbol and mapping.
Unexpected volume: check the main sizing value and Symbol Lot Exceptions.
Update not applied: check the reply context and the receiver’s close or modification controls.
Repeated activity: check whether more than one source Room is sending instructions to the same account.
Record the relevant message context and log status if you need Copygram support. This gives support a specific instruction to investigate rather than a general report that a channel is not working.
Multiple Telegram channel questions
Can several channels use the same receiving account?
Yes. Configure each channel as the source of its own Room and select the intended receiver in each. Review overlapping symbols and combined activity when choosing a shared destination.
Can one channel send signals to several accounts?
Yes. Add multiple receivers to that channel’s Room and configure each receiver independently, within your subscription’s allowance.
Do I need to add a Telegram bot to each channel?
Copygram’s documented flow connects your Telegram account and uses channels you can access. It does not require you to add a copier bot to each channel.
Is a successfully parsed signal guaranteed to execute?
No. Receiver filters, validation settings, schedules and the trading platform’s response still determine the outcome. Use the log status to understand the result.
Choose the receiving platform before choosing a plan
Use the route page that matches the accounts you already operate: Telegram to MT4/MT5, Telegram to TradeLocker, Telegram to Tradovate or Telegram to Binance Futures. Check instrument availability and connection requirements for that destination; a channel discussing one market does not make an equivalent instrument available everywhere.
Review the plan’s Telegram connector and account allowance against your complete channel-to-receiver map. Copygram supplies the copying workflow; you still choose the channels, check access rights and evaluate their instructions. It does not make an unreliable provider reliable.
Set up your channel Rooms
Choose the channels you can access and the accounts that should receive each one. Your plan needs Telegram as a Source and enough connected accounts for the setup.
