Finotive Funding Review: Copy Trading, MT5 and Risk Rules
Prop Firms
Understand Finotive Funding’s own-account copying policy, MT5 and MatchTrader connections, and drawdown rules before setting up Copygram.
Finotive Funding permits commercial trade copiers for your own trades between accounts you own and control, including an external broker or prop-firm source. It does not permit copying another person’s account, signal service or shared master. Copygram can be considered for an eligible connection once you confirm the actual platform and account details. Own-account copier policy and third-party restrictions.
Checked on October 1, 2026, this guide is published by Copygram and uses Finotive’s official documentation. It is a rules and connection review, not a firsthand challenge or payout review. It covers Finotive Funding’s simulated accounts; do not apply these percentages to a separate Finotive Futures product. Finotive Funding terms.
Who controls the source matters
Finotive may ask for proof that you control the source account, strategy and trading decisions, including a demonstration or compliance interview. A commercial copier can relay your orders without becoming the author of the strategy. Copier ownership requirements.
By contrast, routing a paid signal provider through your own MT5 account does not remove the third-party origin. Finotive prohibits signal providers, account managers, challenge-passing services and third-party trading groups. Prohibited copying arrangements.
The EA rule is separate: Finotive says an Expert Advisor must be developed, owned and controlled by you, and it may request verification. Buying a commercial copier is therefore not equivalent to obtaining permission to use any purchased automated strategy. Expert Advisor policy.
MT5 and MatchTrader connection checks
Finotive’s platform FAQ identifies MT5 and MatchTrader among its supported platforms. Access can be provided through different Finotive entities or another approved provider. Use the server or provider shown in the credentials for your specific account. Supported platforms.
Copygram supports MT5 as both source and receiver; MatchTrader is a receiver. Start with the MetaTrader copier guide or MetaTrader-to-MatchTrader guide. General platform support does not establish that every provider instance has been tested, so confirm the connection details before subscribing.
Finotive does not guarantee switching platforms after purchase. Availability depends on the account and whether trading has started, among other conditions. Resolve a wrong platform selection with its support team before placing trades. Platform-change policy.
Current drawdown limits by account type
Finotive publishes separate daily and maximum limits for each program. The figures below come from its daily drawdown table and maximum drawdown table. Check the terms attached to your account before relying on a particular row.
1-Step Challenge: 4% daily; 7.5% maximum.
2-Step Challenge: 4.5% daily; 9% maximum.
Instant Funding Standard: 3.5% daily; 7% maximum.
Instant Funding Lite: 3% daily; 6% maximum.
1-Step Pro: 4% daily; 8% maximum.
2-Step Pro: 5% daily; 10% maximum.
The daily trading period starts at 17:00 New York time, and open equity and floating losses count. A daily breach can close the account without a warning. Daily calculation and timing.
Maximum drawdown is static against the initial account balance and also includes open losses. It does not move upward simply because the account has made a profit. Maximum-loss calculation.
For illustration, a $50,000 2-Step Challenge with a 9% static maximum has a $45,500 overall equity floor. That calculation does not remove the separate daily limit or the other exposure rules. Use the tighter applicable constraint when reviewing the account.
A stop loss does not cover every exposure rule
Finotive’s Notional Volume Limit is separate from leverage and margin. An order can pass a platform’s margin check yet exceed the firm’s permitted open exposure. Check the dashboard’s notional-volume calculator before adding positions. Notional exposure rule.
Floating Drawdown combines unrealised losses across positions on the same symbol, measured against initial balance. On Instant accounts, the published threshold is 1.5%; the first confirmed breach produces a formal warning, with subsequent qualifying breaches leading to strikes and reward reductions. Floating drawdown definition and Instant account treatment.
For example, several gold tickets can be individually small while their combined losses reach the symbol threshold. A fixed-lot copier setting does not know the remaining headroom just from the original account size. Recheck open positions and receiver exposure before adding another order.
Do not wait for an alert to manage a limit
During Challenge and Pro Challenge, Finotive says certain warning-based and conditional rules are reported at progression instead of through real-time alerts, unless the applicable rule states otherwise. No alert is not proof that a setup complies. Challenge warning visibility.
Copygram’s per-trade sizing is not a verified Finotive daily-loss or overall-drawdown lockout. The lot-sizing guide explains the available controls. Do not substitute a receiver multiplier for account-level monitoring.
A practical setup sequence
Record the program, account stage, owner, platform and server for every source and receiver.
Confirm that all trading decisions originate from your own permitted strategy.
Check symbol names, contract values, minimum volume and the receiver’s sizing method.
Verify an entry, a stop modification and a close before expanding the connection.
Compare actual positions after rejected orders or partial fills; avoid blindly resending an order.
Recheck the setup after a withdrawal, account replacement or progression to funding.
Use the Copygram documentation for connection steps and the order-error guide when source and receiver execution diverge. These checks reduce avoidable setup mistakes; they do not promise a payout or protect against every rule breach.
If the connection and your intended use are confirmed, compare the current Copygram plans. Copygram has no free trial. Choose it for managing repeated execution across eligible accounts, while continuing to make and monitor your own trading decisions.
