Alpha Capital Group Review: Copy Trading, Approval and Rules
Prop Firms
Check Alpha Capital’s account registration, MT5 copying and EA restrictions. Compare Pro rules and confirm your workflow before connecting Copygram.
Alpha Capital Group permits copying your own trades, subject to account registration and ownership checks. Its current policy says copying on or from cTrader, DXtrade and TradeLocker is not available. For Copygram users, the route to investigate is an eligible MT5 setup approved for your accounts and method of execution. Alpha Capital’s copy-trading policy.
This review was checked on September 30, 2026. It is published by Copygram and based on Alpha Capital’s public documentation, not a personally completed evaluation or independently verified payout. It focuses on the choices that affect a copier setup: source ownership, platform, account stage and the limits that apply after qualification.
Register the source before you start copying
Alpha Capital requires proof of ownership for an external source account. Its published checklist requests the account number, investor password and server. For copying between Alpha accounts, it requests source and receiver account numbers before trading begins. Only one account may act as the source at a time, and a change must be reported in advance. The source must remain available for trade verification. Registration requirements.
Complete that process directly through Alpha Capital’s official support channel. An investor password provides read-only access for verification; it is not an execution credential for a receiver. Do not publish credentials in a shared document, blog comment or screenshot.
Keep the approval alongside a simple connection record: the source account, each intended receiver, the account owner, platform, copier and whether orders are entered manually or generated by software. This makes it easier to resolve a later account replacement or source change without assuming the previous approval covers it.
Copying permission and EA permission are separate
Alpha Capital currently limits permitted MT5 EAs to risk management and trade assistance. It prohibits fully automated systems that independently execute trades and requires pre-approval of EAs. Its guidance also identifies account-specific exclusions, including Alpha Direct and Swap-Free accounts. Read the current EA policy before choosing an automated strategy or installing a tool.
The firm separately prohibits trading from someone else’s signals. A third-party Telegram channel is therefore not an approved source simply because Copygram can process its messages. Alpha Capital’s signal policy.
Copygram’s technical platform support does not settle either permission question. We have not verified Alpha Capital approval for a specific Copygram workflow. Describe the proposed connection and obtain confirmation before paying for or activating it.
Alpha Pro has several rule sets
A single “Alpha Pro” row hides meaningful differences. Check the exact version in your purchase confirmation and dashboard.
Pro 8% and Pro 10%
Pro 8% lists evaluation targets of 8% then 5%, with 8% static maximum drawdown and a 4% balance-based daily limit. Pro 10% lists targets of 10% then 5%, with 10% maximum drawdown and a 5% balance-based daily limit. Both require three trading days per phase. Official Pro 8%/10% guide.
The same guide distinguishes weekend holding in evaluation from Qualified Analyst accounts and includes limits on lot exposure. Recheck the funded-stage conditions before reconnecting a newly issued account; passing a phase does not mean every operational setting remains appropriate.
Pro 6%
Pro 6% has targets of 6% in each phase, 6% static maximum drawdown and a 3% daily limit calculated using the higher end-of-day balance or equity. It also requires three trading days per phase. Official Pro 6% guide.
The calculation basis matters alongside the percentage. Alpha’s daily-risk explanation says breaches are evaluated using current equity, including unrealized losses. Read the dashboard’s actual threshold instead of monitoring closed balance alone.
The additional per-asset risk rule
For applicable Qualified Analyst accounts purchased after July 21, 2026, Alpha Capital publishes a separate Max Risk Rule. It aggregates losing positions on the same asset, does not offset them with profitable positions, and can combine same-direction losses when a position is reopened within ten minutes. Thresholds depend on account size and plan. Max Risk Rule and purchase-date scope.
This creates a different check from sizing one order. For example, three copied gold entries may each look small when viewed separately, while their combined floating losses matter at the account level. Splitting a trade across tickets does not create extra risk capacity.
Check a permitted Copygram connection
If Alpha Capital approves your proposed setup, use the MetaTrader copier guide and Copygram documentation for the technical connection. Confirm the exact MT5 server, trading credentials, symbol names and receiver volume settings.
Verify an entry, stop modification and close on an appropriate demo or minimum-size test before expanding the setup. Review each receiver’s actual execution: different prices, rejected orders or partial fills can cause accounts to diverge.
Copygram’s sizing controls are not a verified Alpha Capital daily-loss, per-asset-risk or overall-drawdown lockout. The lot-sizing guide explains the available settings. No copier guarantees passing or protects against every rule breach.
Once the account permissions and connection are confirmed, compare the current Copygram plans. Copygram does not offer a free trial; establish that the workflow is suitable before subscribing.
